About the Role
As a Medical Coding Specialist (also referred to internally as a Coding Specialist) at Ime Resources, you will review patient medical records and apply the appropriate coding and guideline criteria to produce clear, defensible written reports. This US-based, full-time position is ideal for a detail-driven, certified coding professional who enjoys turning clinical information into precise, well-documented deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine medical records thoroughly and interpret clinical documentation accurately.
- Author detailed coding reports grounded in established guideline criteria and coding standards.
- Apply current CPC coding principles to ensure each report is correct, consistent, and compliant.
- Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail across all assignments.
Qualifications
- A current, active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification is required.
- CPMA (Certified Professional Medical Auditor) certification is preferred.
- Certified Life Care Planner certification is preferred.
- Strong ability to read medical records and write clear, accurate reports based on guideline criteria.
- Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to precision and compliance.
