Bethany Christian Services is hiring a full-time Pregnancy Counselor in Orange City, Sioux County, to walk alongside individuals and families navigating unplanned pregnancies with compassion, dignity, and faith-centered care.

About the Role

As a Pregnancy Counselor with Bethany Christian Services, you will provide supportive guidance to clients facing pregnancy-related decisions across Northwest and Central Iowa. This is a relationship-driven position that combines counseling expertise with a heart for service, helping people understand their options and access the resources they need. Because the work centers on meeting clients where they are, the role involves consistent travel throughout the assigned service region and occasional trips beyond it.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer one-on-one counseling and emotional support to individuals and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies
• Help clients explore their choices and connect them with appropriate community and agency resources
• Build trusting, respectful relationships grounded in the organization's Christian mission and values
• Travel regularly across Central Iowa and, as needed, to locations outside the assigned service area to reach clients
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate care in line with agency standards

Qualifications

• Residency in Northwest Iowa is required for this position
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the service area and occasionally beyond it
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills suited to sensitive counseling conversations
• Alignment with the Christian faith foundation that guides Bethany Christian Services' work
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to supporting people during pivotal life moments
