Highwire is seeking a strategic, hands-on Account Director, Public Relations (B2B Technology) to join our New York team and shape the way fast-growing and enterprise technology companies tell their stories.
About the Role
As an Account Director on Highwire's B2B Technology practice in New York, you will lead integrated communications programs that move the needle for ambitious technology brands. The position calls for someone who can take dense, technical subject matter and turn it into clear, persuasive narratives that connect with media, customers, and the market — while keeping client business goals front and center. This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York, US.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct high-impact, multichannel PR and communications campaigns for both scaling startups and established enterprise technology clients.
- Oversee a portfolio of approximately 4–5 accounts, ensuring program quality, strategy, and measurable outcomes.
- Translate complex topics across enterprise software, artificial intelligence, cloud, and data infrastructure into compelling, accessible stories.
- Serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients, aligning communications strategy with broader business objectives.
- Guide and mentor account teams to deliver consistent, results-driven work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading public relations or integrated communications programs, ideally within an agency setting.
- Deep familiarity with B2B technology sectors such as enterprise software, AI, cloud, and data infrastructure.
- A talent for distilling sophisticated technical concepts into narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Strong account leadership skills, including managing multiple clients and teams simultaneously.
- Excellent writing, strategic thinking, and client relationship abilities.
