Industrial Design Co-op

Allegion is seeking a motivated student to join our team in Carmel, Hamilton County as an Industrial Design Co-op, a hands-on opportunity to shape products that keep people safe and secure at the doorway and beyond.

About the Role

This full-time, on-site Industrial Design Co-op places you inside Allegion's design organization in Carmel, Hamilton County, where you will contribute to the look, feel, and function of the security and access solutions used in homes, workplaces, and public spaces. You will gain real-world experience collaborating with engineers, product teams, and fellow designers while building a portfolio rooted in industry-leading work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of industrial design concepts, sketches, and prototypes for Allegion products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into thoughtful, manufacturable designs.
• Assist with research, ideation, and visualization throughout the product design process.
• Help refine designs through iteration, feedback, and close attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design or a closely related field.
• Familiarity with design tools, sketching, and prototyping techniques.
• Strong creativity, problem-solving ability, and an eagerness to learn.
• Available to work on-site full-time in Carmel, Hamilton County for the duration of the co-op.
