As a Maintenance Technician based in Salem, Virginia, you will be the go-to problem solver who ensures our managed communities stay comfortable, functional, and well cared for. This on-site, full-time position with Greenbrier Management puts you at the heart of resident satisfaction, handling everyday repairs and upkeep that protect each property's long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across apartment units, common areas, and building systems
- Diagnose and complete repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and document completed work
- Support unit turnovers, including make-ready repairs and inspections between tenancies
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment throughout the community grounds
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies as needed
Qualifications
- Practical experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance
- Working knowledge of common repair trades such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC basics
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a reliable, customer-focused attitude
- Authorization to work on-site in Salem, Virginia for this full-time role
