About the Role
As a Leasing Specialist with AvalonBay Communities in San Antonio, you serve as the welcoming face of the community, guiding prospective residents from their first inquiry through move-in. This on-site, full-time position blends sales, hospitality, and relationship-building to keep apartment homes leased and current residents satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents, lead community and apartment home tours, and highlight features that match their needs.
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries by phone, email, and in person, converting interest into signed leases.
- Prepare, review, and process lease agreements, applications, and renewal paperwork with accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of availability, pricing, and local market conditions in San Antonio.
- Support resident retention through responsive service and a positive on-site experience.
- Coordinate with the broader community team to keep models, common areas, and the leasing office presentation-ready.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine customer-service mindset.
- Sales aptitude and the ability to follow up consistently and close.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to handling paperwork and multiple prospects at once.
- Comfort working on-site, full-time, in a fast-paced residential community in San Antonio, Bexar County.
- Prior leasing, retail, hospitality, or related customer-facing experience is helpful.
