Assistant Property Manager – Edgewater

Hispanic Housing Development Corporation (HHDC) is hiring a full-time Assistant Property Manager to support the operation of affordable rental communities in Edgewater Glen, Chicago. About the Role

As an Assistant Property Manager in Edgewater Glen, Chicago, you will work alongside the Property Manager to keep a residential community running smoothly. HHDC believes affordable housing should be something people are proud to call home, and this position is central to delivering the quality living environment and dependable service that make that vision real. This is a full-time, on-site position (not remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day administration and operation of the property
• Deliver attentive, professional customer service to residents and prospective tenants
• Support leasing activity, applications, renewals, and resident communications
• Help maintain a safe, well-kept, and welcoming community environment
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely service and unit readiness
• Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting and compliance tasks
• Step in to support the Property Manager across general office and resident-relations duties

Qualifications

• Prior experience in property management or a closely related field
• Strong customer service skills and a resident-first mindset
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through
• Ability to work effectively as part of an on-site team in Edgewater Glen, Chicago
• Comfort handling administrative tasks and recordkeeping
