About the Role
As an Associate Attorney - General Liability Defense at Weber Gallagher's New York City office, you will become part of a rapidly expanding civil defense litigation group. This on-site position centers on representing clients across a wide spectrum of general liability disputes, giving you immediate, hands-on exposure to active litigation and meaningful client work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and defend a diverse portfolio of general liability litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Handle cases involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, and property damage claims.
- Work on construction-related disputes and New York labor law matters.
- Defend product liability actions on behalf of clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence while developing case strategy.
- Collaborate with attorneys throughout the New York civil defense practice as the group continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to practice law in the State of New York.
- A genuine interest in civil defense litigation and the willingness to take on a broad, varied caseload.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills suited to a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Ability to work on-site in our New York City office.
