About the Role
As a Traveling Project Manager - Aviation at J.E. Dunn Construction Company, you will take ownership of aviation and airport-related building projects from preconstruction through closeout. This full-time, travel-intensive position is well suited to a construction professional who thrives on relocating between project locations across the United States and enjoys steering high-profile, technically demanding work in the aviation sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, scheduling, and day-to-day execution of aviation construction projects at multiple sites nationwide.
- Manage project budgets, contracts, change orders, and overall financial performance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to keep work on schedule and within scope.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and stakeholders throughout each phase.
- Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards across every aviation jobsite.
- Travel to and relocate among project locations as assignments require.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects, ideally within the aviation or airport sector.
- Strong command of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Willingness and availability to travel extensively and work on-site across various U.S. locations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate diverse teams while upholding rigorous safety and quality expectations.
