About the Role
As the Seasonal Light Trap Foreman, you will take ownership of the equipment that drives Clarke's mosquito monitoring operations. Based in Roselle, IL, you will keep our light traps and related surveillance tools running reliably while supporting the wider field team. This is a practical, on-the-ground position ideal for someone who likes variety, independence, and a clear sense of purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, install, and position mosquito monitoring equipment across assigned survey areas.
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep to keep light traps operating at full capacity.
- Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues with surveillance gear in the field.
- Provide hands-on assistance and general support to the mosquito surveillance team.
- Help ensure data collection runs smoothly throughout the seasonal monitoring period.
Qualifications
- A practical, hands-on problem solver who is comfortable troubleshooting equipment.
- Genuine interest in public health, environmental work, or field-based science.
- Ability to work independently and reliably across various outdoor locations.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow setup and maintenance procedures.
- Willingness to commit to a full-time seasonal schedule in Roselle, DuPage County (on-site; this role is not remote).
