Dacus RTC
Dacus RTC is seeking a dependable Part-Time Cook (Sat-Sun 7a-6:30p) to join its food service team in Bono, Craighead County, preparing wholesome, nutrition-focused meals that support the daily wellbeing of every client we serve.
About the Role
As a Part-Time Cook at Dacus RTC in Bono, you'll work weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, taking ownership of meal preparation and timely delivery across our facilities. This is an on-site role ideal for someone who takes pride in serving balanced, dietitian-conscious food and keeping a kitchen running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, or help plan, three well-balanced meals plus two snacks for each client every day.
- Prepare nutritious, balanced menus that meet USDA standards.
- Deliver completed meals to all facilities on schedule and on time.
- Assist with ordering kitchen and meal-preparation supplies as needed.
- Alert the supervisor promptly when supplies are running low or restocking is required.
- Keep accurate production records and track meal counts in line with established procedures.
Qualifications
- Prior experience cooking or preparing meals in a high-volume, facility, or institutional kitchen.
- Working knowledge of nutritional and USDA meal-preparation standards.
- Strong organizational habits for menu planning, recordkeeping, and meal counts.
- Reliability and availability for the full weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.).
- A team-oriented attitude and clear communication with supervisors and staff.
