Rush University Medical Center invites qualified educators to join our Department of Communication Disorders as Adjunct Faculty (CHS NL) in a part-time capacity at our Illinois Medical District campus in Chicago.
About the Role
This Adjunct Faculty — Communication Disorders position within the College of Health Sciences offers a focused, restricted part-time appointment (total FTE under 0.5). The schedule centers on a four-hour morning shift, typically 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, making it well suited to clinicians and scholars who wish to contribute to academic instruction alongside their professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction within the Communication Disorders program at Rush University Medical Center.
- Support student learning during scheduled daytime course hours in Chicago.
- Contribute subject-matter expertise to the College of Health Sciences curriculum.
- Maintain academic standards consistent with departmental and university expectations.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic and/or clinical background in communication disorders, speech-language pathology, or a closely related discipline.
- Credentials appropriate to teaching at the higher-education level.
- Availability for the designated part-time morning teaching schedule on site in the Illinois Medical District.
- Commitment to student success and quality instruction.
