Janitor

Sequel Youth Services is hiring a full-time Janitor in Tuskegee, Macon County, Alabama, to help keep our residential treatment campus safe, clean, and welcoming for the young people in our care.

About the Role

As a Janitor at Sequel Youth Services in Tuskegee, you will partner closely with the Facilities Manager to maintain our buildings and grounds. Sequel of Tuskegee is a 41-bed residential treatment center supporting youth ages 11 to 18 who live with emotional and behavioral disorders, so a well-kept, secure environment directly supports their safety and well-being. This is an on-site, full-time position in Macon County.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager with the upkeep and general maintenance of the campus buildings and surrounding grounds.
• Carry out routine housekeeping and cleaning tasks to keep every area sanitary and orderly.
• Help ensure the physical environment stays safe and comfortable for residents and staff alike.
• Identify and report maintenance needs or potential hazards promptly as they arise.
• Assist with the everyday facilities duties that keep the treatment center running smoothly.

Qualifications

• A reliable, hands-on work ethic with strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• The ability to perform the physical tasks involved in janitorial and maintenance work.
• Willingness to work on-site, full-time, in Tuskegee, Macon County.
• A genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive setting for youth in residential care.
