About the Role
As a Residential Aide (RA) with Lifeway Network, Inc, you will staff overnight shifts at the organization's Safe Housing residence in Queens, NY. This is an in-person, temporary position covering shifts from mid-January through mid-February 2026, with the potential to transition into a per diem or part-time residential role. The position pays $20.00 per hour and centers on maintaining a secure, welcoming overnight environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive overnight coverage and on-site presence at the Queens Safe Housing residence.
- Help ensure the safety, security, and comfort of all residents throughout the overnight shift.
- Support the daily rhythm of the home and respond calmly and appropriately to resident needs.
- Uphold household guidelines, confidentiality, and a respectful, trauma-informed atmosphere.
- Communicate clearly with program staff and document relevant overnight activity as directed.
Qualifications
- Availability to reliably work overnight shifts in person in Queens, NY during the mid-January to mid-February 2026 period.
- A compassionate, dependable, and trustworthy approach to supporting vulnerable residents.
- Strong attention to safety, sound judgment, and the ability to stay alert and composed overnight.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Openness to continuing in a per diem or part-time capacity should the opportunity arise.
