The City of Conroe is hiring a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Panorama Village, Montgomery County, in a full-time, on-site role supporting the upkeep of essential public equipment and infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician I with the City of Conroe, you will take on physically demanding, hands-on work that keeps municipal equipment running reliably day after day. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in dependable craftsmanship, enjoys working outdoors and in the field, and wants to make a tangible difference in the local community. The role is based in Panorama Village and is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out labor-intensive maintenance duties as part of daily municipal operations.
- Perform routine servicing and upkeep of equipment on a regular, daily basis.
- Safely operate a range of equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasks.
- Support the broader maintenance team in keeping city facilities and assets in good working condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- A minimum of six months of relevant work experience.
- A valid Texas Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of equipment safely and effectively.
- Comfort with physically demanding work performed throughout the day.
