CNC Setup Lathe Machinist

Double E Company is hiring a full-time CNC Setup Lathe Machinist in West Bridgewater, Plymouth County, to set up and operate precision turning equipment for a global leader in web handling and converting technology.

About the Role

As a CNC Setup Lathe Machinist at Double E Company, you will prepare, program, and run CNC lathes to produce high-quality machined components to exacting tolerances. This is an on-site, day-shift position based in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, with overtime opportunities available for those ready to grow within a well-established manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups on CNC lathes, including tooling, offsets, and fixtures, before each production run
• Operate turning equipment to manufacture parts that meet engineering specifications and tight tolerances
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and dimensional accuracy
• Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues during production
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with shop safety standards

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
• Working knowledge of precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work a day-shift schedule of 40 hours per week, with overtime as required
