Ready Mix Plant Manager

CalPortland is hiring a full-time Ready Mix Plant Manager in Newport Coast, Orange County, to lead daily operations at one of our high-output concrete production facilities. About the Role

As Ready Mix Plant Manager, you will take ownership of a key Newport Coast facility, directing every stage of production to keep output consistent, compliant, and aligned with CalPortland's standards for quality and sustainability. This on-site position blends hands-on operational leadership with a strong focus on safety, people, and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full scope of plant operations to keep ready mix concrete production running smoothly and efficiently
• Uphold rigorous product quality standards across every batch leaving the facility
• Lead, schedule, and develop plant personnel to build a reliable, accountable team
• Ensure operations meet environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Champion sustainable practices in line with CalPortland's commitment to responsible production
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, inventory, and resources to minimize downtime
• Support timely, accurate delivery to meet customer expectations

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing or supervising operations in ready mix concrete, aggregates, or a related construction materials environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a production crew
• Working knowledge of plant equipment, batching processes, and quality control
• Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards
• Sound organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced production setting
• Willingness to work on-site at the Newport Coast, Orange County location
