About the Role
As an Activities Aide with LionStone Healthcare, you'll support the day-to-day delivery of recreational and therapeutic programming within a long-term care and assisted living environment in Westwood, Hamilton County. Working hand in hand with the Activities Director, you'll help design and run experiences that nurture residents socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively — all aimed at enriching everyday quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and carrying out recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Encourage participation and create opportunities for social connection, movement, emotional well-being, and mental engagement.
- Partner closely with the Activities Director to keep programming organized and resident-focused.
- Set up activity spaces, prepare materials, and support residents during scheduled events.
- Help foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that respects each resident's interests and abilities.
Qualifications
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with older adults in a long-term care or assisted living setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate approach to resident care.
- Ability to collaborate with the Activities Director and the broader care team.
- Dependability, organization, and a flexible, can-do attitude.
