PeopleAdmin invites motivated graduate students to apply for the Engaged Learning & Art Gallery Graduate Assistant position based in Naperville, DuPage County. This full-time, on-site role bridges two dynamic campus programs and offers hands-on experience in student engagement and gallery operations.
About the Role
As the Engaged Learning & Art Gallery Graduate Assistant, you will divide your working hours across the First-Year Experience initiative and the Campus Art Galleries program. Reporting jointly to the Coordinator of First-Year Student Experience and the Director of Campus Galleries, you will partner closely with both leaders to keep daily programming running smoothly. A central part of the position is delivering consistent, day-to-day operational support across the institution's three art gallery spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of First-Year Experience activities that help new students transition into campus life.
- Provide routine operational assistance to the three campus art gallery spaces, ensuring exhibitions and visitor experiences stay on track.
- Collaborate directly with the Coordinator of First-Year Student Experience and the Director of Campus Galleries on shared goals and projects.
- Support scheduling, coordination, and logistics that keep both programs functioning day to day.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment as a graduate student eligible for an assistantship.
- Interest in student success, first-year programming, and the visual arts or gallery management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities across two distinct program areas.
- A collaborative mindset and comfort reporting to and working alongside multiple supervisors.
- Availability to work on-site in Naperville, DuPage County, as this is not a remote role.
