About the Role
As a Class A Company Driver running over-the-road flatbed freight, you will move secured loads across the continental United States and into Canada. This is a full-time position out of Carmel, Hamilton County, built for experienced professionals who treat every mile and every load with care. Great Plains Trucking has hauled flatbed freight since 1981, and we add drivers who want to grow alongside a well-established, partner-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on long-haul, over-the-road routes throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Load, secure, tarp, and unload flatbed freight following safe handling and securement standards.
- Inspect equipment before and after trips and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs and records in line with current DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Deliver shipments on schedule while communicating clearly with dispatch and customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Proven experience and comfort with OTR, flatbed trailer work, including load securement and tarping.
- Willingness to run extended over-the-road routes across the continental U.S. and Canada.
- Strong safety record and a professional, dependable approach to the job.
