Accounting Manager

AvonRisk is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team on-site in Sunset Whitney Ranch, Placer County, in a full-time capacity. This is a pivotal role for a detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume, operations-led environment.

About the Role

As Accounting Manager at AvonRisk, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and help guide a team that supports one of the nation's foremost specialty risk management organizations. Based in Placer County, this full-time, in-office position offers the opportunity to shape financial processes across a respected, multi-brand enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions, including the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and present accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to maintain consistent, high-quality output.
• Safeguard compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with leadership across business units to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows within a fast-paced, service-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior accounting or accounting management role.
• Strong command of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation practices.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience supervising or mentoring accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous approach to accuracy and detail.
• Comfortable working on-site in Sunset Whitney Ranch, Placer County, in a collaborative, operations-driven culture.
