About the Role
As a Part-Time Patient Access Customer Service Representative with R1 RCM, you'll be one of the first faces patients meet at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Medical Center. This is a PRN, as-needed position with a minimum of 48 hours required each month, plus 24 hours of on-call availability. Additional shifts are frequently available for those who want to pick up more. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients during the access and registration process at the medical center.
- Deliver friendly, accurate customer service in person and over the phone.
- Gather and verify patient information to support smooth admissions and billing.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to keep the patient experience seamless.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
Qualifications
- No prior healthcare experience required — full training and a clear path into the field are provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine focus on customer service.
- Dependability and flexibility to meet the minimum monthly hours, on-call hours, and additional shifts.
