About the Role

As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker with the Town of Kernersville, you will carry out a range of semi-skilled duties involved in the upkeep and repair of town buildings, parks, and recreation areas. The position combines general facility maintenance with grounds and field care, and may include operating equipment as needed. You will report to and work under the regular direction of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on town buildings and recreation facilities
• Maintain parks, ball fields, and other recreation areas to keep them safe and presentable
• Operate maintenance equipment and tools required to complete assigned tasks
• Complete a variety of semi-skilled grounds and facility upkeep duties
• Carry out work assignments under the supervision of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

• Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in an outdoor setting
• Comfort operating maintenance equipment and hand tools safely
• Capacity for physical, hands-on labor across town parks and buildings
• Willingness to follow direction and work as part of the parks maintenance team
