Direct Care Worker (DCW)

Interim Delaware is hiring full-time Direct Care Workers (DCW) in Delmar, Sussex County to deliver compassionate, in-home personal care that helps clients across the state live with dignity and independence.

About the Role

As a Direct Care Worker (DCW) with Interim Personal Care and Support (Interim PCS), you'll provide hands-on assistance to individuals who need help managing the activities of daily living. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Delmar and serving clients throughout Delaware. Caregivers are matched with as many cases as they wish to accept, within whatever service area they feel comfortable travelling to — giving you meaningful flexibility over your workload and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other routines that keep clients safe and comfortable at home
• Offer companionship and attentive, respectful care tailored to each individual's needs
• Observe and report any changes in a client's condition or wellbeing
• Travel to client homes within your chosen service area across Delaware

• Willingness to travel to assigned cases within a comfortable service radius
