Cooley, a globally recognized technology law firm, is hiring a full-time Knowledge Management Attorney - Fund Formation to strengthen its Practice Engineering team within the Innovation department in San Francisco, California.
About the Role
As a Knowledge Management Attorney focused on fund formation, you will sit at the intersection of legal practice and innovation, helping Cooley advance its ambition to lead in the digital delivery of legal services. This on-site San Francisco position supports attorneys by building, organizing, and refining the knowledge resources that drive efficient, high-quality work for clients across the fund formation practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, curate, and maintain knowledge management materials, templates, and precedents for the fund formation practice.
- Collaborate with the Practice Engineering and Innovation teams to design tools and workflows that improve legal service delivery.
- Capture practice expertise and translate it into accessible, reusable resources for attorneys and staff.
- Support continuous improvement of processes that enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Stay current on developments in fund formation law and emerging legal technology.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in good standing with a relevant state bar.
- Substantive legal experience in fund formation or a closely related transactional practice.
- Strong interest in legal technology, knowledge management, and process innovation.
- Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across legal and technical teams in an on-site San Francisco setting.
