Olney ISD is seeking a dedicated full-time Special Education Teacher through The Region 9 HR Services Cooperative to support elementary learners at Olney Elementary in the US, with the position available beginning August 3, 2026.
About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher serving Olney ISD, you will deliver individualized instruction designed to help elementary students with diverse learning needs reach their full academic and developmental potential. This on-site, full-time elementary teaching role places you at Olney Elementary, where you will collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and provide specialized, standards-aligned instruction tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Adapt lessons, materials, and assessments to accommodate a range of abilities and learning styles at the elementary level.
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instructional approaches to drive measurable growth.
- Partner with general education teachers, related-service providers, and parents to coordinate support across the school day.
- Foster a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom that promotes both academic achievement and social-emotional development.
Qualifications
- Appropriate state certification or eligibility to teach special education at the elementary school level.
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education compliance, and effective instructional strategies for students with disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, colleagues, and families.
- A genuine commitment to inclusive education and to supporting every learner's success.
