Environmental Field Specialist

NES Fircroft is hiring an Environmental Field Specialist in Houston, Texas to deliver hands-on environmental support across pipeline interconnection projects and active industrial sites.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site contract opportunity based in Houston, Houston County. As an Environmental Field Specialist with NES Fircroft, you will work directly in the field to support pipeline interconnections and industrial operations, ensuring that environmental sampling, waste handling, and regulatory requirements are managed accurately and efficiently. The engagement is structured as a 6–8 month assignment at a rate of $75 per hour, making it well suited to an experienced environmental professional who thrives in a project-driven, field-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out environmental sampling activities across pipeline and industrial work areas in and around Houston, Texas.
• Oversee waste management practices, including proper characterization, handling, and tracking of materials.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and project teams to keep work aligned with applicable environmental requirements.
• Prepare and maintain thorough compliance documentation to support reporting and recordkeeping.
• Provide on-the-ground environmental guidance throughout pipeline interconnection and industrial site activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as an environmental professional in a field-based capacity.
• Familiarity with environmental sampling techniques and waste management procedures.
• Working knowledge of regulatory coordination and compliance documentation practices.
• Comfortable supporting pipeline interconnections and industrial site operations in the field.
• Ability to commit to a 6–8 month contract assignment in Houston, Texas.
