About the Role

As a Pension Asset Liability Study Consultant at WTW, you will work within our Retirement Risk Management practice, a group that blends deep defined benefit (DB) plan knowledge with investment consulting insight. In this Clayton-based position, you will help pension plan sponsors uncover and assess practical ways to control retirement-related costs and the risks tied to them, supporting clients as they weigh funding strategies, pension risk approaches, and long-term plan outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct asset liability studies that connect pension plan funding positions with investment strategy.
• Partner with DB plan sponsors to identify, model, and evaluate opportunities for managing pension costs and associated risks.
• Analyze funding approaches and pension risk scenarios, translating complex findings into clear, actionable guidance.
• Collaborate with retirement and investment consulting colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, technical rigor, and client-focused excellence.

Qualifications

• Background in pension, retirement, or actuarial consulting, with familiarity in defined benefit plan management.
• Understanding of asset liability modeling, investment consulting concepts, and pension risk management.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical results to plan sponsors and stakeholders.
• A collaborative, strategic mindset suited to a market-leading advisory team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Clayton, Saint Louis County (this is not a remote role).
