About the Role

This Senior Case Manager - Asset Recovery position is an investigative, hands-on role rather than an administrative one. Working within our Return Assets Division in Boulder, you will lead the effort to locate rightful heirs, build evidentiary case files, and reunite people with dormant property held by State Unclaimed Property Offices. The role centers on complex "decedent accounts," where careful research and persistence turn unclaimed funds into recovered assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve intricate decedent account cases from initial discovery through successful recovery.
• Apply forensic genealogy techniques to identify, trace, and verify rightful heirs and beneficiaries.
• Research and confirm dormant or unclaimed assets maintained by State Unclaimed Property Offices.
• Compile thorough, well-documented evidence to substantiate ownership and support each claim.
• Take ownership of cases end to end, maintaining meticulous records and accuracy at every stage.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in forensic genealogy, heir location, or asset recovery.
• An investigative mindset with sharp attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload of complex, multi-step investigations.
• Comfort working with public records, genealogical sources, and unclaimed property systems.
• Willingness to work on-site full-time in Boulder, Boulder County.
