About the Role

This Furniture Assembly Technician position with SPAR, Inc. is an ongoing, part-time contractor opportunity based in Lonsdale, Knox County. Working as an independent contractor, you will travel to assigned locations to assemble ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture both inside retail environments and directly in customers' homes. A nationwide office supply retail chain is among the in-store accounts you may support, giving you steady, varied work close to home.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture accurately and efficiently for in-store and in-home assignments
• Complete projects at retail locations, including a nationwide office supply chain, and at residential addresses
• Follow manufacturer instructions to ensure every finished piece is sturdy, safe, and customer-ready
• Take on additional product assembly when available, such as TV wall mounts, gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, and retail display racks
• Represent SPAR, Inc. professionally while working independently at each job site

Qualifications

• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools to build furniture and similar products
• Able to read and follow assembly diagrams and written instructions
• Hands-on experience mounting TVs, or assembling gas grills, sporting goods, bicycles, or display racks is a strong plus
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage your own schedule as an independent contractor
• Willing and able to travel to in-store and in-home locations in and around Lonsdale, Knox County
