Rehab – Occupational Therapist

Wheaton is seeking a dedicated Rehab - Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team in Wheaton, Traverse County, helping patients rebuild independence and return to the activities that matter most to them.

About the Role

As a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist with Wheaton, you will deliver patient-centered occupational therapy across the rehabilitation setting. This is a hands-on clinical position based in Wheaton, Traverse County, where you will assess functional needs, design individualized treatment plans, and guide patients through recovery to restore mobility, daily living skills, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to establish therapy goals.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living to improve independence.
• Track progress, document outcomes, and update care plans as patients advance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the wider rehabilitation team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques, adaptive strategies, and home routines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Clinical experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare environment is welcomed; first-time and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Wheaton, Traverse County.
