About the Role
As a Transportation Licensed Land Surveyor with McKim and Creed in Crabtree Valley, Wake County, you will apply your professional licensure to support the planning, design, and construction of roadway, highway, and broader transportation projects. This on-site position puts your geomatics expertise at the center of work that shapes how communities move, connecting field measurement, data integrity, and engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and certify boundary, topographic, route, and control surveys for transportation infrastructure projects.
- Review and seal survey deliverables, ensuring accuracy and conformance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Coordinate field crews and survey data collection to keep project timelines and quality targets on track.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to integrate survey data into transportation solutions.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and uphold safety practices across all survey activities.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure in good standing.
- Experience performing or managing land surveys, ideally within transportation or infrastructure settings.
- Strong command of survey methods, instrumentation, and geomatics technology.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work on-site in Crabtree Valley, Wake County, and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
