Amazon is hiring a full-time Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Production Planning Team within NA Supply Chain Execution in Guadalupe, Maricopa County, Arizona. In this on-site role, you will turn operational data into the labor decisions that keep millions of customer packages moving on schedule.
About the Role
The Business Intelligence Engineer supports Amazon's North America Supply Chain, a network of more than 300 fulfillment and sort centers that ships millions of packages every day. The Production Planning Team determines how much labor each site needs — and exactly where and when it is needed, across every shift and every week. Your analysis directly shapes whether customers receive orders on time while helping the network avoid costly over- or under-staffing.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, automate, and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting that drive labor and production planning decisions.
- Analyze staffing, throughput, and capacity data to recommend how many associates each site needs by shift and by week.
- Translate complex supply chain metrics into clear insights for operations and planning stakeholders.
- Develop and refine forecasting and planning models that improve accuracy and reduce wasted labor.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and measure the impact of process changes.
Qualifications
- Experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency with SQL and data visualization or reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across large, complex datasets.
- Familiarity with supply chain, operations, or production planning environments is an advantage.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to work on-site in Guadalupe, Maricopa County, Arizona (this position is not remote).
