About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Compound Planning, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing and delivering the systems behind a best-in-class client experience. Your work will help individuals see their full financial picture clearly, work hand-in-hand with their advisors, and access sophisticated planning capabilities through software that is reliable, intuitive, and built to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain core features of Compound Planning's financial planning platform.
- Drive technical direction and set high standards for code quality, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with product, design, and advisory teams to translate client needs into thoughtful engineering solutions.
- Develop tools that give clients a clear, unified view of their finances and enable seamless collaboration with advisors.
- Mentor fellow engineers and elevate the team's overall craft through reviews, guidance, and shared best practices.
Qualifications
- Extensive software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping complex, production-grade systems.
- Strong command of modern software design, architecture, and full lifecycle development.
- Ability to lead ambitious technical initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a passion for building products that genuinely help people.
- Eligible to work full-time in the United States.
