About the Role
As a Studio Director within Gensler's Lifestyle / Cities Studio (Flex 2), you will serve as a multifaceted leader across clients, business, people, and projects. This full-time, on-site position in Phoenix places you at the heart of Gensler's collaborative studio leadership model, where shared values, culture, and a distinctive working style drive everything the team accomplishes. You will help advance Gensler's practice areas while drawing on a broad portfolio of work and sharp business judgment to identify and pursue new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the studio across client engagement, business development, people management, and project delivery.
- Champion Gensler's collaborative leadership approach, reinforcing the studio's culture and working style.
- Support the continued growth and strength of Gensler's Lifestyle and Cities practice areas.
- Apply business acumen and a diverse project portfolio to capture and win new work.
- Mentor, develop, and inspire studio team members to deliver design excellence.
- Build and nurture lasting client relationships that fuel repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience spanning client, business, people, and project responsibilities, ideally within a design or architecture practice.
- Strong business development instincts and the ability to translate a varied portfolio into new opportunities.

- Familiarity with lifestyle and cities-focused design work is highly valued.
