Spring-Ford Area School District is seeking a dedicated Marching Band Mallet Percussion-HS (1/2 Contract) instructor to support its high school marching band program during the Fall 2026 season at the 10-12 Grade Center in the US.

This is a seasonal half-contract position within the district's Athletics, Activities, and Fine Arts program, focused on developing the mallet percussion (front ensemble) section of the high school marching band. The role runs through the fall competitive and performance season and is tied to the 2026-2027 school year.

- Full stipend: $1,107.50, which may be prorated if the complete contract term is not fulfilled

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized coaching and rehearsal instruction for the mallet percussion section of the high school marching band
- Prepare students for fall performances and events throughout the August-to-November season
- Support the broader marching band staff in achieving the program's musical and competitive goals
- Reinforce proper technique, musicianship, and ensemble cohesion within the front ensemble
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of mallet and front-ensemble percussion performance and pedagogy
- Experience working with high-school-aged musicians in a marching band or ensemble setting
- Availability for the full Fall 2026 contract window at the 10-12 Grade Center
- Ability to collaborate effectively with band directors and fellow instructional staff
