About the Role
As the Junior High Teacher (TBD) and Boys Coach with Bonham Independent School District, you will balance two rewarding responsibilities: strengthening student achievement in core academic subjects and developing young athletes through coaching. This on-site position in the U.S. is ideal for an educator who is passionate about both classroom learning and the growth that comes from competitive sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Help students build foundational knowledge and grow their ability in core subject areas.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons using current instructional methods and sound educational pedagogy.
- Apply differentiated instruction tailored to a range of student learning styles.
- Coach the boys athletics program, developing student-athletes' skills, discipline, and teamwork.
- Foster a positive, supportive environment in both the classroom and athletic setting.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern teaching strategies and educational pedagogy.
- Understanding of differentiated instruction based on individual student learning needs.
- Ability to motivate and connect with junior high students academically and athletically.
- Appropriate Texas teaching certification and coaching eligibility consistent with district requirements.
