Fall River Public Schools is hiring a full-time World Language Teacher (Spanish) to join the faculty at Matthew J. Kuss Middle School in Fall River, Massachusetts, inspiring young learners to communicate confidently in a new language.
About the Role
As a World Language Teacher (Spanish) with Fall River Public Schools, you will lead engaging middle school Spanish classes that build students' speaking, reading, writing, and listening fluency. This on-site position is an opportunity to shape culturally curious, communicative young people while contributing to a dedicated language department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned Spanish language lessons for middle school students at Matthew J. Kuss Middle School.
- Foster proficiency across reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation in Spanish (and Portuguese where applicable).
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom that encourages participation and cultural appreciation.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support each learner's academic growth.
Qualifications
- Valid and appropriate Massachusetts teacher licensure.
- Bachelor's degree with a major or minor in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
- Proven ability to read, write, understand, and speak Spanish and/or Portuguese.
- A genuine commitment to helping middle school students succeed in world language learning.
