USA Tax Accountant (Remote | Part-Time with Full-Time Potential)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented USA Tax Accountant to support ongoing tax preparation and accounting functions for a growing international business. This is a long-term remote opportunity offering flexible scheduling, consistent year-round work, and strong potential to scale from part-time to full-time.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with U.S. tax preparation, particularly individual tax returns, and be comfortable working independently while managing deadlines accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review U.S. individual tax returns
• Assist with real estate tax returns and related filings
• Support tax planning and financial projections
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting support functions
• Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and deadlines
• Communicate effectively regarding tax documentation and client queries
• Assist with ongoing accounting and financial reporting needs throughout the year

Requirements:

• Proven experience preparing U.S. tax returns
• Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws and regulations
• Experience with individual tax filings is essential
• Exposure to real estate tax returns advantageous
• Experience with tax planning and forecasting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload remotely
• Excellent communication skills

Role Structure:

• Remote contractor position
• Flexible schedule — contractors manage and set their own hours
• Initially part-time with strong opportunity for growth into a full-time role
• Work continues year-round, with a slower period typically between October and January
