About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) company driver position based out of Louisville, Kentucky. As a CDL-A Flatbed Truck Driver with Western Express, you'll log genuine miles and earn genuine pay under a newly increased compensation package. Openings are available across both the Flatbed and Dry Van divisions, and we're also seeking experienced drivers interested in stepping up as driver trainers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flatbed (or dry van) tractor-trailer on long-haul OTR routes
- Properly secure, tarp, and transport flatbed freight in line with DOT regulations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs
- Deliver loads on schedule while upholding professional safety standards
- For driver trainer roles: coach and mentor newer drivers on the road
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Willingness to run OTR routes and spend extended time on the road
- Commitment to safe driving practices and freight-securement procedures
- Driver-trainer candidates should bring solid road experience to mentor others
