About the Role
As an Early Childhood Instructional Aide (paraprofessional) with East Moline School District 37, you will work alongside classroom teachers to nurture the growth, development, and well-being of preschool-age students. This posting represents two full-time positions based at the East Moline Early Learning Center, with an anticipated start of August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering daily instructional activities within the Early Childhood program.
- Provide individualized and small-group support, including assistance for students receiving special education services.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom that encourages early learning and social development.
- Support children with classroom routines, transitions, and age-appropriate skill-building.
- Reinforce positive behavior and contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment for every learner.
Qualifications
- A current and valid Illinois credential is required: paraprofessional license (ELS), substitute license (SUB), or a Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with early childhood and preschool-age students.
- Patience, dependability, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
