About the Role
As a 3rd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic I in Bloomingdale, you will be responsible for keeping packaging, processing, distribution, and plant infrastructure equipment operating reliably. Beyond the wrench work, you will share your knowledge by guiding and developing newer maintenance team members, making this a position that blends technical skill with leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, operate, lubricate, and maintain complex processing and high-speed packaging machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electromechanical equipment across packaging, processing, and distribution areas.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime during overnight production.
- Support and maintain plant infrastructure systems to ensure safe, continuous operations.
- Train, coach, and mentor less-experienced maintenance mechanics.
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and electromechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of high-speed packaging and processing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to diagnosing faults.
- Ability and willingness to work the 3rd (overnight) shift.
- Capability to teach and mentor fellow technicians.
