Brazosport College is seeking a knowledgeable Adjunct Criminal Justice Instructor to join our Criminal Justice Department in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, and help prepare the next generation of public safety and law enforcement professionals.

About the Role

This Adjunct Criminal Justice position at Brazosport College is a part-time teaching appointment filled on an as-needed basis to support course offerings within the Criminal Justice Department. As an adjunct instructor, you will deliver engaging classroom instruction, support student learning, and contribute your professional expertise to a respected community college program in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses and provide clear, well-organized instruction to a diverse student population.
• Support student success through guidance, feedback, and accessible communication.
• Maintain accurate records and follow departmental and college instructional guidelines.
• Bring real-world knowledge of the criminal justice field into the learning environment.
• Be available to teach on a part-time basis as course needs are determined each term.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move about and traverse the campus.
• Capacity for lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, reaching, handling, and fine dexterity tasks.
• Bending, along with adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic credentials and/or professional experience in criminal justice or a closely related discipline.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality teaching.
• Flexibility to serve in a part-time, as-needed instructional capacity.
