About the Role

As a Special Education Para with East Windsor School District, you will work directly alongside certified special education teachers to support learners on a one-on-one basis and in small groups. This in-person position in East Windsor, Hartford County, plays a vital part in helping students progress toward the objectives outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instructional support to students under the guidance of the supervising special education teacher.
• Assist students living with a variety of disabilities, including specific learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and medically fragile conditions.
• Reinforce lessons and learning strategies that help each student advance toward their IEP goals.
• Complete required training, including medication administration as needed for student care.
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and supportive classroom environment.
