About the Role
As the Classroom Art Teacher for Grade 5th-8th with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, you will deliver an engaging, high-quality visual arts curriculum to middle school students. Based at St. Cecilia Catholic School in the US, this position reports directly to the Principal and Assistant Principal and centers on fostering artistic skill, imagination, and confidence in every learner.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach a comprehensive visual arts program for students in grades 5 through 8.
- Develop age-appropriate lessons that build both technical ability and creative expression.
- Assess student progress and offer constructive, encouraging feedback.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and inspiring classroom and art studio space.
- Support the school's Catholic mission and collaborate with fellow faculty and staff.
Qualifications
- A creative, dedicated educator with genuine enthusiasm for teaching art to middle school students.
- Working knowledge of visual arts techniques, materials, and age-appropriate instructional methods.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners across grades 5th-8th.
- Commitment to upholding the values of a Catholic school community.
