Paradise Valley USD 69 is seeking a dedicated full-time school Counselor at Pinnacle Peak Preparatory in Scottsdale, Maricopa County, for the 2026-27 academic year. This 1.0 FTE interim role supports elementary students throughout the school year, running from July 27, 2026 to May 27, 2027.
About the Role
As the 2026-27 Counselor at Pinnacle Peak Prep, you will help young learners remove the barriers that stand in the way of their success in the classroom. Working within an elementary setting, you will guide students as they navigate academic challenges and begin shaping thoughtful educational, career, and personal life goals. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Scottsdale.
Key Responsibilities
- Support elementary students in identifying and overcoming obstacles that interfere with their learning.
- Help students build educational, occupational, and life plans suited to their individual strengths and aspirations.
- Deliver a well-rounded counseling program that attends to students' academic, social, and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to foster a supportive environment for student growth.
- Serve the Pinnacle Peak Preparatory community throughout the interim assignment period.
Qualifications
- Appropriate Arizona school counselor certification or eligibility, as required for elementary school counseling positions.
- A genuine commitment to the academic and personal well-being of elementary-aged students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and educators.
- Ability to design and balance counseling services that meet a range of student needs.
- Availability to fulfill the full interim term within the 2026-27 school calendar.
