About the Role
As an OTR Dry Van Company Driver with Nussbaum, you'll run over-the-road freight across the country, hauling dry van loads safely and on schedule. This is a full-time, on-the-road position (not a remote job) operating out of Hillcrest, Ogle County, ideal for professional drivers who take pride in dependable service and clean, careful operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a dry van tractor-trailer over long-haul, over-the-road routes
- Transport freight safely, securely, and within agreed delivery windows
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep equipment road-ready
- Follow all DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and company safety standards
- Maintain accurate logs and communicate clearly with dispatch throughout each trip
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Verifiable over-the-road or dry van driving experience preferred
- Willingness to spend extended time on the road as an OTR driver
- Strong safety record and commitment to professional, courteous service
- Ability to meet DOT physical and regulatory requirements
Pay & Bonuses
- First-year earnings ranging from $76K to $92K, based on your experience
- $3,000 Dry Van Transition Bonus, paid in $1,000 installments after completing orientation, at the 3-month mark, and again at 6 months
