The American Heart Association is seeking a mission-driven Executive Director, Southern Arizona to lead fundraising, community engagement, and strategic growth across the Tucson and Pima County region. About the Role
As Executive Director, Southern Arizona, you will serve as the local face of the American Heart Association in Tucson, Pima County, guiding a team and a portfolio of campaigns that fund research, education, and advocacy. You will build relationships with donors, volunteers, healthcare partners, and corporate sponsors to expand impact and revenue throughout the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow revenue through major gifts, corporate partnerships, and signature fundraising events in the Southern Arizona market.
- Recruit, manage, and inspire staff and volunteer leadership to meet ambitious goals.
- Cultivate strong relationships with community stakeholders, donors, and business leaders across Tucson and Pima County.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan aligned with the organization's mission to reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke.
- Represent the American Heart Association at community and public-facing events.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, sales, or a related field.
- A track record of meeting revenue targets and building productive partnerships.
- Strong skills in team management, communication, and community relationship-building.
- Passion for the American Heart Association's mission and a commitment to improving public health.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in the Tucson, Pima County area.
