About the Role

As a Sr. Accountant supporting Amazon Leo, you will provide financial accounting expertise for Amazon's long-term program to design, deploy, and operate a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites. The mission of Amazon Leo is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to communities around the world that remain underserved today. In this position, you will help ensure that the numbers behind this bold endeavor are accurate, well-controlled, and clearly reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Own core financial accounting activities that support the Amazon Leo program, including period-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account balances, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and program teams to surface insights and resolve accounting questions.
• Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process improvements that scale with a growing initiative.
• Make sound, independent judgments and take ownership of outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a financial accounting professional with a record of consistently exceeding expectations.
• Confidence to make bold, well-reasoned decisions and act with a strong sense of ownership.
• Solid command of accounting principles, reconciliations, and the financial close process.
• Strong analytical skills paired with clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work on-site in Portland, Multnomah County, in a full-time capacity.
