Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a dependable Nutrition Care Associate (Part-time) to join our patient food service team at our Einstein campus in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County. This role places hospitality and care at the center of the patient experience, one meal at a time.
About the Role
As a Nutrition Care Associate in Philadelphia, you serve as the friendly point of contact for patients regarding their daily meals. Working under the direction of the Lead Nutrition Care Associate, Food Service Supervisor, or Food Service Manager, you coordinate and relay all details connected to patient meal delivery. The scheduled hours for this part-time position are weeknights from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, plus every other weekend from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with patients to gather and confirm their meal selections and dietary preferences.
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the order-taking and meal service process.
- Communicate accurate, timely meal-related information across the food service team.
- Support deli and meal preparation activities as part of daily patient service operations.
- Report to and collaborate with the Lead Nutrition Care Associate, Food Service Supervisor, or Food Service Manager.
Qualifications
- A genuine commitment to compassionate, patient-focused customer service.
- Strong verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare food service environment.
- Availability for the listed evening and alternating weekend shifts.
- Ability to coordinate effectively as part of a collaborative team.
